After a succes full edition in 2018 we are welcome you to come to the Perfect Beat Day at The Notorious IBE festival in Heerlen The Netherlands.
This year we have a full program with workshops, masterclass, debates, producers bench, and Perfect Beat Challenge. All programs are free to enter.
Workshop for beginners (starts at 14:00).
Wotto is the artist name of DJ, Beatmaker and designer Jan Willem Otto. Otto has been building his own digital musical instruments for several years. These small 3D print design soundpats are ideal for beginners Beatmakers.
How to make a beat with Ableton Push - Beginners (starts at 15:30).
The Ableton brand produces tools and software for music and studio producers. In this beginners workshop an Ableton teacher gives Beatmakers and producers a digital guide tour of Ableton Push, one of the most used production programs in the world.
Masterclass Workflow - How to build a song by Neenah (starts at 18:00).
Neenah is a successful female singer, songwritter and music engineer who has already produced music for many wellknown artist. In 2010 she won the Battle of the Beatmakers contest in Toronto.In the Workflow Masterclass, Neenah delves deeper into building a song structure.
Beatmakers bench and market (all day)
The Beatmakers bench is the meeting place for producers, Beatmakers dancers and the public. Dj and beatmaking demonstrations are given, there are short talks and interviews and the public can get to know the products of the well-known brands also SERATO, Ableton, Wotto and other brands.
Perfect Beat Challenge (starts at 19:00)
Perfect Beat Challenge is a competition in which the participants have to make a music composition within 60 minutes using a fixed set of music samples. A professional jury judges the music pieces on creativity, technique, composition and orginallity.
